Most Dramatic Lunch Time

Was having lunch at our usual coffeeshop
yesterday. Ordered Fried Rice with Egg.
Waited for fairly long as usual.
Then the waitress came shouting who
ordered Fried Rice with Egg.
So I took it.

She wanted to collect payment from me
again. But I told her, I've already paid.
So she went away and I dug in.
I tore a corner of the egg out, and
felt a tap on the shoulder.

The waitress went "Sorry. This is not your order."
and took it away from me like lightning fast.
I was like huhhhh, and my collegues stunned.
I dont really feel offended by her actions,
but what if I've already eaten the rice?

My collegues kept telling me I should
have messed the egg, chilli and everything.
Maybe even sneeze on it or something.

But I think the person who got that
plate of rice would be feeling worse. =0

In the end, my egg on the rice was
slightly better than erm, my ex egg-on-the-rice.

Language Exchange

I always have plenty of time to burn
during work, and now, I've found the
best way ever to burn them, and never
get tired of it. =D

I'm addicited to it.
I'm playing with it all day.
I simply want more of it.

It's an online language exchange site.
Users mainly speak English, Mandrian, Japanese.
Also some less common language like Arabic, Turkish.

With this site, you can send instant
messages to users, or mail them, or even
hear them talk in the voice chat.
With many Japanese and other people who
know Japanese, I was able to chat in Japanese
with the help of my good online dictionary.
Being able to read and write and check up words
in dictionary will improve my Japanese.
At least I believe so. But this should need more time.

Do join me in the fun.

Coming to think about it,
I've realised that these few days
have been so dramatic, and it's
only the third day of the week!

Monday - Was rushing for work
and barely made it in time.
Did my usual routine & wanted to
get my bottle filled in the pantry.
I literally froze at the door.
There was this big fat cockroach
right in the middle of the room.

I took at least 3 seconds to decide that
I shall not get my bottle filled then.

Tuesday - Came to work to be informed that
someone was trapped in the lift earlier.
Wow. Cool. I wonder how's it's like.
Then the usual rountine, and I saw this
freaky frog walking away from me.

Yes, it was WALKING.
Instead of hopping which most frogs do.
I wonder if I stepped on its leg.
Thinking that I shall ask the cleaner
to do something about it later, I
went on with my other work.

The next minute, it was -puff- gone.
I checked everywhere, thinking that it
couldnt just disappear like that.
But I guess it did.

Not to mention that I have been rather
down recently. Depression to Paranoid,
maybe even to insanity?
Right when Ben asked me to go for a
check up, and I didnt even tell him this.

+I wonder what more will come today.+

New Haircut

Finally got my hair cut after
at least a few months of "I wanna
get my hair cut soon."

My little sister in law kept asking
me why I wanted to cut my hair so short
before and after. Erm, because it was long?

"Are you regretting now?" she poped up
this question as we were walking back.
"No. Should I be?"
"Since you let it grow this long,
I just thought you might be."
"Well, I didnt let it grow this long.
I just didnt cut my hair for a long time."

Then, I remembered something Gerry said.
"I always feel so much lighter after a haircut."
So weird I dont feel it this time.
Maybe it's not short enough.

So far, I'm loving my new haircut.
Since it got rid of dry ends, damaged ends,
weird color at the ends, and probably splitends.

=+Hohoho~ I'm Sleepy~ +=

~Thank GuanYinMa It's Friday~

But I believe I would thank her more,
if she could make human work on
Saturday and Sunday, and rest from
Monday to Friday. Then I will definitely

cause we dont work from monday to friday.

Something that's highly impossible to happen.
So wake up and be happie it's friday,
then be grumpy because Friday is
soooooooooooo near to Monday.

Weekends are the time when you get excited
from all the outings, movies, food, fun,
and at the end of the day, while lying on
your bed, you'll be thinking to yourself,
"OMG! Only one more day left."
And you will feel all the energy escaping
from you on Sunday evening.

Well, too bad this weekend Pepper is working~
So I'll probably rot at home, farming away,
before someone decide to date me out~ Tata~

With Internet usage rising so quickly,
you may wanna take a few moment to think,
is it becoming a problem in you?

10 years ago, as a kid,
I would say that my average daily
computer usage would be less than an hour.
Internet? What the hell is that?
5 years ago, Internet is a must-have
in every computer. Email, MSN, and
maybe online gaming once in a while.

Now, you can even surf the Internet
with your mobile, anytime, anywhere.
Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, MSN,
YahooChat, even Online Shopping!
With more things to do online,
most of us will tend to spend more
time online now. Maybe even not
wanting to get off it.

But are you addicted? Check with
this list of systoms. If you have
more than 5 of these, you are
most probably addicted!

1. It's all you can think about.

"I'm going to do this and that later online."
Is this what you often say?
Your computer may be offline,
but your mind is always searching
for a WiFi point to upload your
ever-increasing to do online list.

2. The more, the happier.

"Just a little longer."
You tell yourself, most probably
the 20th time. You just want to be
online for "a little longer".

3. Reduce the time online? I'll try. I'm TRYING.

You have been trying to reduce the
time you spent on facing your computer.
But you HAVE to do this, this, this,
and that everyday. "I'll try again tomorrow."

4. No Internet, no satifaction.

You're throwing your temper around,
feeling irritated by everything,
and dont wanna talk to anyone.
Because you havent got your dose of
net-surfing today. If you have to use
the internet in order to feel happy
with your life, add this to your addiction list.

5. Just 2 hours today, I promise. (After 5 hours)
Oh my. I didnt realise that~

You ALWAYS spend more than the time you want,
and you ALWAYS did not realise it.

6. Neglecting families & friends

Missing that class gathering?
Too busy to attend the family outing?
Just because you have better things to
do on the Internet.

7. Lying about Internet surfing

Mom "How long do you spend on the computer everyday?"
You "Not long. Most probably like 3 hours?"
In fact, you probably spend 8 to 10 hours
or maybe even more.

8. Serenity on the Net.

You feel calm and peace,
safe and secure when online.
You feel that you are able to
escape into a perfect world,
away from all the negativities
in this world.

Comments is BACK!

If you havent noticed (and I think
you probably didnt), the comment function
is back~! *points to the bottom of the post*

It's not that I'm going to remove the
, or that the tagboard is getting
lousy, malfunctioning or whatever
It's because that I have been blogging
in my office
(~make sure you dont tell my boss~)
recently, and they blocked all tagboard-like
things on the sites. So I thought it might be
a good idea to revive it.

Even the recently revived blog of Lingx use
only the original comment function~!

I guess it's going to be quite complicated
with two systems working together. But both
are working fine and can be used, so readers,
make your preference. But bear in mind that,
I will not be able to read your messages on
the tagboard in my office, and I seldom go
on my blog at home. So... ...

Be the FIRST to scream out loud~!

I miss Home

I was slacking at work as usual, and went to my blog like an addiction. Saw the "Past Tense" session, click on the oldest link and started reading.

Was smiling and laughing to myself as I read. The way I wrote, the thing I encountered, the feelings I experienced.

Reading towards the end, I saw this post.

"Welcome to my Palace of Happiness.
I'm the owner of this palace.
In my palace, everything nice exists.
Everything that makes people smile and happy exist.
Even if it's just a facade,
people only want to believe the good things.
Because they fear darkness.
In darkness, they see uncertainty.
And they chose to fear it.
If you are not afraid of knowing my dark side,
Go ahead and enter
My Palace of Darkness."

I was quite taken aback having read this. Not about the darkness side of me which always existed, but of the fact that I've been posting both good and bad things here, since I dont even remember when.

I miss the eRica that was always laughing and smiling, even when things are hurting really bad. I miss home.

Life is not about finding yourself.
It's about creating yourself.
But I wanna find the me whom I created then.

Daven is down with HFMD! *shocking face*
Ok. Maybe not so shocked after all.
Since he goes out all the time everyday.
I would say that I feel the helplessness
in all parents when their child fell sick.
But on top of that, I have this mixture
feeling of helplessness, frustration,
anger, and indifferent

I just do not want to be part of this
mess, agrument, anxiety, insanity and
have no power to be in control of it.

By the way, the hospital trip yesterday
cleared the myth that I was made to believe
for so many, many years. So I really wanna
share it with everyone I know.

High fever is NOT the
cause of brain damage.

I believe that a lot of us actually
believe otherwise. But the doctor from
KKH yesterday commented about Daven's fever,
which once hit 39.0 degree C.

"Rest assured it won't damage the brain."

I can feel that everyone in the room was
going huhhhh~ in their mind, including me.
"But what about ...?" There will always be
someone who must express in excessive words.

"It's even written in our booklet." He continued,
handing us the leaflet. "In those cases where the
patients suffered brain damaged after high fever
is because the virus attacked their brain directly.
Not the high fever that caused it."

I went like Ooohhh~, in my mind of course.

"In Daven's case, the virus is only affecting
the hands, legs and mouth. It wont affect the
brain at all." the doctor assured us once more.

But of course, we would still wanna keep his
fever down, since it will cause him discomfort.

With no specific medication for HFMD, Daven
has to be monitored for his fluid intake and
activity level in order to clear the virus.

= I need Ommmmmm... =

The Wife who died of Hunger

These two days, I had these round biscuits
for breakfast. Holding on to it using my mouth
while I put on my shoes and marching off to work.
I got too lazy to use my hands afterwards,
and so I was munching away with that biscuit
sticking out of my mouth.

I managed to make this U shape in
the biscuit before I had to use my hand.
Looking at the biscuit then,
reminded me of this Chinese story
my mommy once told me when I was younger.

Once, there was this wife (most probably
fat and ugly, since the picture in the book
says so) that was really lazy that she needed
her husband to serve her EVERYTHING on bed.
Food, toilet, whatever on the bed.
She was just too lazy to even move herself.

One day, the husband wanted to go on a journey
for this Zhuan Yuan exam (those Chinese oldern days).
But he was really worry that his wife will strave
if he did not serve her food to her. So he had this idea.

He made this GIGANTIC biscuit and hanged it
around her neck. Then he went off on his journey.

Well, I dont know if that guy scored well in his exams,
but that's not the point. When the husband came back,
he found his wife dead. He thought, "It cannot be!
This biscuit should be able to last her for more than enough!"

Looking closer, he realised that his wife just ate
the biscuit near to her mouth. She was too lazy to
even turn or move her head.

- I might just be the next one. =X -
